WFM Media Release
Extension of State of Emergency
Monday 22nd June 2020
What this means to WFM, our Clients and Stakeholders
With reference to the State Government's Extension of the State of Emergency until 19th July 2020, WFM remains committed to all compliance as outlined by the State and Federal Governments in order to keep our staff, clients and stakeholders well and safe.
We identify ourselves as an “Essential Service” as the work that we do keeps people in their homes longer and we are able to support people as they are discharged from rehab and hospital in many circumstances.
We have an entrenched and adaptable way of working that ensures Infection Control is observed at all times.
We are applying:
- disinfecting procedures
- social distancing
- working separately when appropriate
- staying home when unwell
- getting tested if needed
- Coronavirus checks with our clients prior to and upon attendance
- complying with any requests made by OT's, Plan Manager & Service Providers
We are now in the process of reviewing our workload and, in particular, jobs that are located in the 6 local government area hot-spots as identified by the State Government. We will work with the respective OT's/Plan Managers & Service Providers to ensure that priorities are properly triaged.
In the meantime, we wish our valued clients and stakeholders continued health and well being during these trying times.
